In the times of transition, turbulence, ratification of Montenegrin Constitution, changes and adoption with European Union’s recommendation, measures and system of the civil law protection of author and related laws, those are always craving for reconquering and insisting on conducting of them. To insist is good because of presumption for effective protection (which is not satisfied), because of specifications (on which warns this project and texts in this brochure), because of process’s sideways, because of harmonising with international law frame…

Deeply inside of each system and its law’s frame exists authors and their works. Bigger and more develop systems, countries, protect them because of multifarious own concerns. Terms “creative industry”, “entertainment industry”, exist for a long time, but here in Montenegro are known thanks to electronic, medias systems and broadcasts of author’s works and products and products that are coming from the distant and big world.

Conclusive aim of the project that NGO “Pro-story” started and realising it with the help from Commission for small grants of American Embassy in Podgorica is to enlighten the measure of protection, above all Montenegrin authors and their works, but also owners of author’s law for works of world’s inheritance and its contemporaries. Valuation and protection of author’s work is the most important concern for the aim of preserving civil law’s system in Montenegro and of international standards.

Texts in this brochure are dedicated to everyone who has met or who will meet the situation of conducting or breaking of author’s law in Montenegro or already have bad experience with it.
